Julie (names changed for confidentiality) came to Brighters House Cleaning in Cambridge when her mother was taken ill.  Other family members were unable to help in a sustained and practical way because of distance and as the nearest relative, Julie stepped in.

As well as working mornings, Julie took her mother to the hospital for regular treatments, cleaned her mother’s home and managed her household finances.  Julie’s own housework was done in bits and pieces late in the evening and at weekends.

Julie’s husband had suggested a domestic cleaner could help her mother, however, Julie and her family were not happy about having someone in the house they didn’t know.  Nor did they want a home cleaning firm who might send two or three people which would leave her mother feeling isolated or, even worse, would send different people each week which would confuse her mother.

Julie had confided to a friend about how tired she felt.  Her friend had been in a similar position a few years earlier and had called upon Brighters Home Cleaning services to help.

Julie liked the fact that we had been able to introduce a friendly, cheerful, local Cambridge cleaner who met Julie and her mother before any cleaning arrangements were made to ensure that her mother would be happy. Other family members were now able to offer practical help through finances.

Using Brighters helped to support her mother with housework and a friendly face twice a week meant Julie was fresh at work and free to enjoy her time with her mother as well as being able to cope with her own home.  Julie’s mother has been on our books for four years now and Julie now has her own Brighters domestic cleaner.
